SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS
Each summer there are several sports camps available. During the summer of 2010, there was an Elementary Basketball camp, Girls' Volleyball Camp, Elementary Girls' Volleyball Camp, and a Junior and Senior High Boys' Basketball Camp.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Westover Christian Athletic Department is to bring glory to God through physical involvement of our students in a competitive atmosphere. Our overall objectives are as follows:
1) to provide instruction and guidance in physical skills and spiritual application
2) to involve the student body, parents, and teachers in developing school spirit and unity
3) to present a clear Christian testimony to opposing teams, fans, and referees with our words and actions
4) to give each student the opportunity to develop his or her full physical potential
5) to teach the student to work toward a specific goal
6) to develop respect for rules and authority.
CONFERENCE
Westover Christian Academy is a member of the Virginia Assocation of Chrstian Athletics (VACA). VACA is divided into two regions, Northern and Southern. The Southern region is divided into Southeast and Southwest divisions:
